Dr Kaitlin Chandrarajan
Originally from Canada, Dr Kaitlin decided to pursue her medical education at University of Queensland in 2013. As part of her medical training, Dr Kaitlin was placed at Nambour Hospital for a couple of years. The sun, warmth, ocean and beautiful Australian people, convinced her to stay after graduating.
After four years of working in the hospital system, including in the Wide Bay Health Service and the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, Dr Kaitlin decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and branch out to community medicine. She achieved fellowship in General Practice after training in Far North Queensland and now plans to make Sunshine Coast her home.
Dr Kaitlin’s interests remain quite broad. She enjoys paediatrics, adult medicine, complex medical conditions, chronic disease management, diabetes care, cardiology and palliative care. Outside of medicine, Dr Kaitlin enjoys cooking (huge Masterchef fan!), long walks on the beach and travelling.
